The Venezuelan Gladys Guacare broke the mastery of Cuba in the
taekwondo of III Games of the DAWN, after defeating today in the final of 53 kilograms his compatriot Johana Ávalos.
The third position corresponded to the Ecuadorian Mariuxy Monserrate and to Alianay Carpio, who represents to the central Cuban province of Clear Town, head office of the contest.
Glenhis Hernández, of the principal Antillean cast, overcame for the gold in 67 kilograms Taimí Castellanos (Cuba
“B ”), meanwhile the bronze-colored metals were for Kelys Castellanos, of Venezuela, and Neo Agnes Majara, of Lesotho.
For his part, the Cuban Lixan Batista conquered for the title in the 63 kilograms division the
villaclareño Yasmany Pozo, with the Venezuelan Hernán Villafeñe and Rolando Rodríguez, of the Cuba
“B ”, like occupants of the third position.
Sergio Ovas, of the second Cuban selection, won in 80 kilos before Yasiel Rodríguez, of the Top Institute of Physical Culture Manuel Fajardo
(ISCF), while Mario Téllez (Cuba
“A ”) and Reinier Rodríguez
(ISCF) stayed in bronze.
